Places To Eat
Highway 192 has always been the fun highway of Kissimmee. There is no shortage of restaurants in the Kissimmee area to suit all tastes and budgets. Heavily influenced by aged steaks, fresh seafood and Italian fare, you will not go hungry.
To aid navigation, the 15 mile stretch running east from U.S. Route 27 was divided into 1 mile segments and ornate mile markers running from Marker 4 to 12. From Around Mile Marker 4 to Mile Marker 6, there are over 50 restaurants.
We recommend that you try as many of the restaurants on offer as possible to find your own favorites but we have listed a few below to get you started.
These are dotted throughout Kissimmee. These restaurants are very family friendly. The food is OK but not fantastic. Value for money is excellent and they offer an 'all you can eat' buffet with a huge range of foods - perfect for an early evening meal with children as they are sure to find something they like.
Proudly serving American fare including aged steaks, burgers, baby back ribs & seafood dishes this place has a fun atmosphere and as the name suggests is styled an old fashioned road house complete with juke box and tunes from yesteryear. Good value for money and special offers on beers and cocktails for the adults too!
Located opposite Super Target this restaurant offers something for everyone with pasta, steaks, seafood and their legendary Zinger platters. A lively bar is a great place to catch a drink and watch the latest game on the big screen TVs. Daily specials run from rib platters to fajitas to fresh fish at very reasonable prices. This place is always busy so plan to get there early to secure a table.
This restaurant is a bit different from the rest on offer in the area. Located on the Super Target complex this place offers an authentic mix of Caribbean and Island cuisines. Jamaican Jerk chicken, Coconut Shrimp, Seafood Paella & Chorizo sliders are just a few of the menu items on offer here. An excellent kids menu and first class cocktails make this place one to visit
Celebration Town Center
Celebration is a residential community designed to the vision of Walt Disney himself. This estate of private homes built in a style of times gone by has a number of excellent restaurants open to the public located in its downtown and marketplace districts including Italian, Seafood, Japanese and Spanish cuisine. A number of stores are also on site - Note the address we have provided is not specific but will get you to the right location.
If you are looking for a variety of great food and entertainment options, Sunset Walk is the place for you. This beautiful outdoor district has over 30+ retail and dining hot spots and a water park. Enjoy an all-natural premium burger at Burger Fi, or grab a craft beer while indulging on classic comfort food and live entertainment at Rock & Brews. At Studio Movie Grill guests can enjoy films and full-service dining directly in luxury recliners. Also open is Ford’s Garage, Yeoman's, Bahama Bucks, Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi, Its Sugar, Capone’s, Cold Stone Creamery and El Jefe's Tequilas.
Located at Disney Springs west side, this restaurant is a destination in itself! A wide range of movie & TV memorabilia is on display as well as a large gift shop for souvenir purchases. The menu is varied with something for everyone including steaks, seafood, pastas and a good children's menu. Be warned that it can be very busy here and a wait of an hour is not uncommon to get a table. Early evenings tend to fare a little better, so go early, register your name for a table and enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait.
Take Out / Fast Food
Kissimmee has hundreds of fast food outlets to choose from including McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and Wendy's. Some lesser known names for the benefit of our European Guests - Checkers (located next to Old Town) serve up great burgers and amazing fries (eat in or drive thru) and Chick-Fil-A which offer amazing chicken burgers and sandwiches. Many of the above restaurants are available on Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Postmates. If you don’t have an account with these food delivery companies, then you can find menus in the villa for places like Pizza Hut or the local Chinese restaurant that offer home delivery:
A trip to Kissimmee would not be complete without sampling one of the many dinner shows on offer. Those listed below are the most popular but the schedule is ever changing so please check local listings for timings.
Step back in time to the 10th Century where Medieval Knights joust for supremacy in this fun family friendly dinner show. Special effects are second to none and a banquet is served as part of the package (soup, chicken, and ribs). All to be eaten with your fingers as knives and forks were not around in Medieval Times! Audience participation is great fun and you are encouraged to make as much noise as possible to cheer on your knight to glory!
Capone's Dinner & Show
Get ready to step back in time to the prohibition era of the 1930s gangland Chicago where speakeasies, mobsters, dames and Al Capone rule to City with flashy period costumes, dramatic lighting and plenty of laughs in this great comedy show. Be warned, there is lots of audience participation here so if this is not your cup of tea request a table away from the stage towards the back! Food and drinks are all included in the ticket price (a huge Italian style buffet) and kids are welcome (probably not suited to the under 10s in our opinion).
Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show
A classic murder mystery show with a difference! Play detective in one of their whodunits (they have over a dozen different performances each lasting around 2.5 hours) with plenty of laughs along the way! A three course meal is served during the evening. Again, children are welcome but we would not recommend for the under 10s. Check online for the current show schedule and timings as shows can start from as early as 6.30pm or as late as 9.00pm. This show is also located on International Drive so expect a drive time of between 20-30 minutes.
